The Kadalai Urundai is also known as peanut chikki. Pretty simple to make with only two ingredients, this delicacy will be any mother’s delight. It is so tasty that your kid will hardly refuse.

If you want to know the health benefits of this kadalai urundai, then you can ask any grandmom and she will surely tell you hundreds of reasons why you should always eat it.

I love the simplicity of making this delicious kadalai urundai. All I need to do is just roast the peanuts well and remove it’s skin. Then make a jaggery syrup which would form a ball when dropped in a bowl of water. And mix these two and make small balls while they are still hot. That’s it!! That’s all it takes to make these delicious verkadalai urundai.

Remember to roast the peanuts well for that crispy crunchy feel. Allow the peanuts to cool down a little and remove the skin while it is till warm. If you plan to roast the peanuts ahead of time and remove the skin later on, it won’t work. Just scrub it when it is still lukewarm.

There are two ways to find the perfect consistency of the jaggery syrup. One is where you drop a little of the jaggery syrup in a bowl of water. When you can make a soft ball with it easily, then your syrup is ready. The other method is when you press the syrup between your fingers, you can see a string forming. This is known as the one string consistency.

I know I am confusing you all a lot, hence I have added a video at the bottom of the post for better presentation. Do check it out and do not forget to subscribe to my channel.
