Kolhapuri Chicken Recipe
Kolhapuri Chicken Recipe is one such simple recipe which you can make easily at home and yet get the restaurant style taste and is as easy as it can be. I do all the marination a day before for the kolhapuri chicken recipe. That is the beauty of this dish.

1 chicken cut into small pieces 4 tbsp oil 2 onions chopped 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 2 to matoes chopped 2 green chili 2 cardamom a small stick of cinnamon 2 tsp cumin seeds/jeera 2 tsp black pepper/kali mirch 2 tsp red chili powder 1 tsp turmeric powder 2 tsp coriander powder salt to taste 1 cup yogurt
Heat oil in a pan and add the cardamom, cinnamon, cumin seeds, black pepper, green chili and onion. Fry till the onion turns translucent.
Add the ginger garlic paste and tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes are tender. Grind this masala into a fine paste in a mixie.
Mix in the red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt and yogurt to the ground paste.
Apply this masala paste to the chicken and marinate overnight.
Cook this marinated chicken on medium flame till the oil leaves the sides of the pan. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
