Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings flats and drumettes
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce low-sodium preferred
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced optional
  • ½ tsp red chili flakes adjust for spice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Sauce: Mix honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes in a bowl until combined.
  • Assemble in the Crockpot: Place chicken wings in the crockpot.
  • Pour the sauce over the wings, ensuring they are well-coated.
  • Cook: Cover and cook on Low for 4-5 hours or High for 2-3 hours, until wings are tender.
  • Thicken the Sauce: Remove wings from the crockpot and set aside.
  • Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl to create a slurry.
  • Stir the slurry into the sauce in the crockpot. Cook on high for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
  • Optional Broil for Crispiness: Preheat your broiler.
  • Place wings on a baking sheet, brush with thickened sauce, and broil for 5-7 minutes.
  • Serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve warm and enjoy!
