Ingredients

  • 1 chicken cut into small pieces
  • 4 onions sliced
  • 2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • whole garam masala 1 bay leaf, 1 inch stick cinnamon, 2 cardamon, 2 cloves, 1 teaspoon shahi jeera, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 2 to matoes finely chopped
  • 2 cups yogurt
  • 1/4 cup cashew nut powdered
  • salt to taste
  • handful of mint and coriander leaves
  • 3 tablespoon oil or ghee

Instructions

  • Clean the chicken and wash it with turmeric and wheat flour. This removes the raw smell from the chicken.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add green chili, garam masala and onion.
  • Fry the onion till brown and add ginger garlic paste.
  • Add tomatoes and cook till tender. Add chili powder, coriander powder and salt.
  • Add yogurt and mix well. Stir in the cashew powder gently, mixing it well.
  • Mix in the chicken and cover the lid and cook on low flame till the chicken is cooked.
  • Add coriander and mint leaves and serve hot.
