Homemade Potato Smiley recipe, Copycat potato smiley
Homemade potato smiley recipe or the copycat potato smiley recipe is an amazing snack that would make you a star cook. Made with mashed potatoes, this is a very delicious dish.
Ingredients
- 1 big potato boiled
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 2 tbsp corn flour
- salt to taste
- 2 tbsp cheese grated (mozzarella / parmesan)
- oil for frying
- straw & spoon for making the smiley
Instructions
- Grate the boiled potato in a bowl
- Add in the red chilli powder, black pepper powder, corn flour, salt and cheese.
- Knead to make a smooth dough.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Take a small ball from dough and make a small disc by rolling between your palms (like shown in the video)
- Take a straw and poke two holes. Then with the help of a spoon make a smile.
- Heat oil and fry the potato discs till golden brown.
- Strain from oil and place on paper towel.
- Serve hot with ketchup.
