Creamy Parmesan Turkey Meatballs Recipe

Creamy parmesan turkey meatballs are comfort food that tastes like you worked hard, but really it is just one skillet and simple stuff. Juicy ground turkey meatballs simmered in a rich parmesan cream sauce. My teens ask for this meal on repeat and the best part is it is quick and family approved.

Instructions

Step 1: Mix the meatballs

  • In a big bowl, mix turkey, breadcrumbs, parmesan, egg, garlic, and seasonings. Roll into little balls about golf ball size.

Step 2: Brown the meatballs

  • Heat oil in a skillet and brown the meatballs until golden outside. Do not worry if inside is not done yet. Remove from skillet.

Step 3: Make the sauce

  • Melt butter in the same skillet. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute. Slowly whisk in chicken broth and cream until smooth.

Step 4: Add cheese

  • Mix in parmesan and garlic powder. Stir until melted and creamy thick. Taste and season with salt and pepper.

Step 5: Simmer meatballs

  • Add meatballs back to skillet. Let them simmer in the sauce 8–10 minutes until cooked through. Garnish with parsley if you want to be fancy.

Notes

Tips

  • Use fresh parmesan if possible. It melts better and makes the sauce smooth.
  • If feeding bottomless teenagers, serve with noodles or rice to stretch the meal.
  • Do not skip browning the meatballs. It gives them that yummy flavor.

Variations

  • Spicy Kick: Add red pepper flakes to the sauce for a little heat.
  • Cheesy Twist: Mix mozzarella into the sauce for extra cheese pull.
  • Veggie Boost: Toss in spinach or peas while simmering for sneaky greens.
  • Swap Protein: You can swap turkey with chicken or beef if that is what you got.
