Turai gosht recipe is a delicious combination of ridge gourd and mutton curry. It is not only tasty but also very easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 500 gms mutton cut into small pieces
  • 1 kg turai / ridge gourd peeled and sliced
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 2 onion finely chopped
  • 2 green chilli
  • 1 small tomato chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder

Instructions

  • Heat mutton in a pan and add oil, onion, green chilli, tomato and ginger garlic paste.
  • Cook until all the water dries up from the mutton.
  • Add in the red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Cook for couple of minutes.
  • Next, add in sufficient water about a cup or two depending upon the quality of your mutton.
  • Cook until the mutton is half done.
  • Add the ridge gourd and cook on low flame till the mutton is done.
  • By the time the mutton is done, the turai will be perfectly cooked too.
  • At this point, you can either dry up all the water from it or leave as it is.
  • Your delicious turai gosht recipe is ready to serve.
