Aamras Recipe, How to make Aamras

With the mango season in full swing, it will be hard not to post this much loved aamras recipe or the mango puree recipe on the blog. After all we get the mango season only once in a year. And I wouldn't be able to publish any of the mango recipes for an entire year. So, as the saying goes, make hay while the sun shines. Let's make mango dishes, while the mangoes

  • 2 cups mangoes (Alphonso or Badami, or any other variety of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup of milk or as required to make a thick paste
  • 2 tbsp of jaggery
  • a big pinch of saffron strands


  • Add everything together in a blender and make it into a smooth puree. Serve chilled.
