Ingredients

  • 250 gms mutton cut into small pieces
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • whole spices 1 inch stick cinnamon, 2 cloves, 2 cardamom, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp shahi jeera
  • 2 to 3 green chilli cut into half
  • 4 to mato chopped
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp wheat flour mixed with water to make a thin paste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 big onion finely chopped

Instructions

  • In a bowl, take mutton and add salt, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and ginger garlic paste. Mix and marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add whole spices, green chilli, tomato. Cook until tomatoes turn soft.
  • Add the marinated mutton and cook till it browns.
  • Add water and cook until the mutton is done.
  • Throw in the coriander leaves.
  • Add the wheat paste and adjust the consistency of the curry. Add salt according to your taste.
  • Heat the 2 tbsp oil in a kadai and fry the onion till brown.
  • Add this fried onion to the curry and leave it for simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
