      Hi Rachna,

I have used the measuring cup while using this recipe which is really fool-proof.
However 1 cup = approximately 225 gms. So that would be
      225 gms milk powder
      112 gms sugar
      56 gms butter and milk

Or in other words, that would be 4:2:1:1
      Hope this helps.

      Hi Reema,
If it was firm, then in most probability, it was overcooked. I hope, next time, even the texture will be perfect. Do let me know the feedback next time you make it.

You are most welcome Ayana. They might turn little hard on outer part if you keep them for extended amount of time. But I have never had success to check this myself, as whenever I make this burfi, they get finished before the burfi makes it to the air tight container. 😉

Salaam Fareeha. Thank you and jazakAllah for the lovely recipe! I’m asking a silly question here but would just like some clarity… When u said ‘powdered sugar,’ do u mean icing sugar OR caster sugar? Icing sugar is used for topping on cakes, and it DOES set firmly. Caster sugar is fine, soft sugar and is used inside cake batter mixture, it does NOT set firm.
Sorry, it’s my first time to make burfi. I ask you ‘the expert’ for your tip, instead of me just messing up an easy-to-make recipe…lol. Please Fa, tell us which type of sugar would be good here. Many thanks!! Anisa

I am really very sorry for the delay in replying. What I meant by the powdered sugar is that to powder whatever sugar you have at home. I use the raw sugar and hence prefer to dry grind to make a fine powder at home itself, with the help of a coffee grinder.
