The Mutton Dry Fry recipe is made in typical South Indian Style. It is made with the most basic of spices. More than the ingredients, it is the process that enhances the taste of this mutton dry fry recipe.

Remember to get small pieces of the mutton. If you buy too large pieces, then it won’t be cooked through. We do not use the pressure cooker while making this dish. So the smaller the pieces, easier the process will be.

You can add in any kind of spices that you like to add. Black Pepper Powder, Cumin powder, you can add anything that fancies you. Just ensure you follow the method. And that is not so difficult to do. Small Pieces, No Pressure Cooker! That’s all that you have to remember.

I like to make this mutton dry fry recipe, South Indian Style when I have some time at my disposal. There is no short cut to it, hence I always keep it for the weekends.

I can keep the mutton pieces for cooking and start with my other dishes. It cooks on it’s own on medium low flame. We do not need to stir it too often and that is what I like about it. But be careful when the water is about to dry up. The mutton will quickly start sticking to the bottom after that. Add the oil quickly after the water has dried up.

I loved this, “Small Pieces, No Pressure Cooker! That’s all that you have to remember.”

Sometimes, all one has to remember is the small pieces and no pressure!
