السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته
Gajar ka Halwa in Microwave has to be one of the easiest way of making this delicious and famous Asian delicacy. Check it out to believe that the traditional carrot halwa can actually be made in the microwave.
In fact, even I didn’t know about it before seeing KK’s post. Now you must have noticed I have been mentioning Krishna Kumari a lot in my posts. You will be wondering what is the connection between the two of us, noticing that our blogs are entirely different from one another. Well, the fact is that she is my best blogging, online buddy. We have known each other long before both of us started blogging. We knew each other even before any of us thought that we would step into the blogging world. But it has been a good ride with her, discussing all the ups and downs, not giving up when I feel I would almost give up, sharing all the “trade secrets”, planning the recipes, so on and so forth. Blogging is a lonely world but I know I have got a good friend on my side always and I will never be alone. Thank you, KK. <3
Now coming back to her recipe, when I saw her gajar ka halwa in microwave recipe here, I was like… What!!! How can one make such a traditional sweet in a microwave. I know, I have been making the Pressure Cooker gajar ka halwa, then why not the gajar ka halwa in microwave recipe, you might ask. But, as you know, I am a pretty novice cook and need to actually make it to believe that this is actually possible. He he.. I just need a reason to make the carrot halwa again and again in this season when we get the most awesome red carrots.
So off I set to grate the carrots and gather the rest of the ingredients. Hmmm.. I use the food processor to grate the carrots, so technically, the food processor is the one who does the main hard work in this recipe. Rest of the things are just a breeze to make.
I just tweaked Krishna Kumari’s recipe a minute bit and added khoya at the end. Well, few things, I can’t imagine a recipe without and hence had to add in my own element. (Modafinil) AND I shouldn’t be looking like as if I have totally lifted off her recipe. That’s bad for a blogger’s reputations. Ahem.. Ahem,, I am noticing that, off late, with my increased ramblings I am putting my blogging career at risk with all the revelations.
So, coming back to the Gajar ka Halwa in Microwave recipe, once I had the carrots grated, all I had to do was microwave it at intervals. Once your carrots are cooked, add in the ghee, sugar and khoya finally and microwave it some more for the final touch. That’s it. Your delicious Gajar ka Halwa in Microwave recipe will be done in no time and do not have to wait for ages to try this out.
