There is actually no rocket science or a traditional way behind making this Fruit Custard Recipe or the Fruit Salad with Custard Sauce. All you have to do is just make the custard sauce and add any type of fruits that your family loves.

I like to add whatever fruit is available in season. The only fruit which is a default is the banana and the apple. Apart from there two, all other fruits are variable. But most often, I love to add the guava, grapes and pineapple whenever I get good quality.

Ammi used to make this very regularly in our home. She would make this delicious custard and add the whatever fruits were in season. We would wait patiently for it to chill to finally dig on the Fruit Custard Recipe or the Fruit Salad with Custard Sauce.

I have just made one small variation in the entire process of making this Fruit Custard Recipe or the Fruit Salad with Custard Sauce. Instead of sugar, I have added honey.

You will find that in the instructions label of the custard powder pack that you are supposed to add sugar along with milk before boiling. But I boil the milk and add the custard and then finally add the sugar.

If you want you can omit the sugar. It won’t make much of a difference taste wise. But, yes, it does eliminate the unnecessary sugar from the dessert. The creamy  custard sauce filled with plenty of fruits is just the perfect dessert.

In today’s Fruit Custard Recipe or the Fruit Salad with Custard Sauce I have added mango, grapes, guava, apple, banana and pineapple. You can add any fruits of your choice or what is available in season.

You can just follow the instructions given on your custard powder pack to make this recipe.
