This is one of the many recipes that is so close to my heart. The easy and quick egg masala dry recipe, south indian style is a dish which my Ammi used to make at home.  I used to love this dry egg masala recipe as a kid along with the rasam that she used to make. I loved the combination of the rasam and the egg masala.

When I was writing this recipe, I had to come up with a name for this particular recipe as it is something that is not so commonly found. Not knowing what to call it, I simply named it as the dry egg masala recipe, South Indian Style

As much as it is so easy and simple to make, I can somehow never get the taste that Ammi used to make. The dry egg masala recipe is so quick to make and with such basic and few ingredients that I still don’t understand how the taste is so missing from my dish.

Nothing can beat a mother’s love or cooking, I guess. Whenever there were sudden guests in our home, and there was nothing else in the house, she would quickly boil the eggs and apply this masala and serve it with so much love. If only I could be half the person she was!

As much as it gets extremely painful to share the recipes that Ammi used to make, I have realized that I could document and preserve her recipes as much as possible from my memory. How I wish I had started this blog during her life!
