What You’ll Need (nothing fancy, promise)

  • 12 oz spaghetti (I broke mine in half to fit it. Don’t come for me, Italians)
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups heavy cream (or you can do half & half if that’s what you got)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (yes, the real kind—not the dusty green can, but do you boo)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (adds that silky creamy thing, trust me)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Optional: cooked shredded chicken, frozen broccoli, or anything that needs to be used before it dies in your fridge

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Get Your Crockpot Ready

Spray the inside of your crockpot with non-stick spray. Don’t skip this unless you enjoy scrubbing cheesy noodles off with all your emotional energy.

Step 2: Break the Pasta & Dump It All In

Snap your spaghetti in half (you’ll live, I promise) and put it in the crockpot. Add in the chicken broth, heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and that glorious chunk of cream cheese. Also toss in the butter.
DO NOT STIR yet. Just let it sit in there all messy and weird lookin’—it’ll come together later. Kinda like my life.

Step 3: Cover It and Walk Away

Put the lid on and cook it on low for about 2.5 to 3 hours.
If you remember (no pressure), give it a little stir about once an hour. If you don’t, it still turns out okay. Like, not Pinterest-perfect, but still delish.

Step 4: Make It Creamy-Cheesy Magic

When the pasta is soft and lookin’ like real food, stir in the Parmesan cheese. Watch it melt and get all creamy—it’s a moment, okay?
If you wanna add extras like cooked chicken or broccoli, now’s the time. Let it warm through for like 10–15 more mins.

Step 5: Serve It Up and Accept the Compliments

Scoop it into bowls, top with a lil’ more cheese if you’re feelin’ fancy, and call the troops to the table.
I served mine with garlic bread (frozen, obvi) and a sad salad that no one touched—but hey, I tried.

FAQs: Crockpot Spaghetti Alfredo Edition

Can I really cook spaghetti noodles in the crockpot without them turning to mush?

Yup, you totally can! The trick is to keep an eye on the time and stir once or twice. Don’t let it sit for hours after it’s done, or yeah… mush city. But if you follow the timing, your spaghetti in the crockpot will be creamy and perfect.

Can I use other pasta instead of spaghetti?

Absolutely. I’ve used penne, rotini, elbows—basically whatever I find hiding in the pantry. Just try to stick to the same cooking time and keep checking it around the 2-hour mark.

Can I freeze this?

I mean… technically, yes. But cooked pasta can get a little weird after freezing. If you do freeze it, wrap it up tight and reheat slowly with extra liquid. Just don’t say I didn’t warn ya

Can I make it dairy-free?

Okay, real talk—this is a creamy cheese bomb of a recipe, so it’s definitely dairy-heavy. BUT if you’re feelin’ brave, you could try a dairy-free cream and cheese substitute. I haven’t tried it yet (my crew is team cheese all the way), but if you do, please tell me how it goes!

What if I want to add veggies?

Go wild! Broccoli, peas, spinach, mushrooms—just add them toward the end so they don’t turn into sad mush. I usually throw in frozen broccoli in the last 20 minutes and it’s perf.
