If you have already seen my Corn Nuts Recipe, then you can easily follow the same. If not, do not worry. I will post the crispy corn recipe too. You can even use whatever spices you feel like. There is no one way of making this. You can even add whatever veggies you love. Adding the raw mango will also have a great impact on the taste. If they are in season then definitely do add them.
When you have sudden guests at home and all you have is the fresh or frozen corn at home, then you do not need anything else. I am sure, rest of the things will be easily available in your pantry.
We would first fry the corn in some basic ingredients. And then follow it up with other veggies and spices. This is a perfect after school snack for kids. It can even be served as an iftar dish during Ramadan.

You can use fresh or frozen corn for this corn chaat recipe. I have added the frozen sweet corn. But you can also add fresh corn kernels. As I didn’t good quality corn, I opted for the frozen sweet corn for making this fried corn chaat recipe.
So let’s get started with the fried corn chaat recipe
- 1 cup corn
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 cup rice flour
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour / maida
- oil for frying
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 to mato finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp chat masala
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
- 1 green chilli finely chopped
- juice of 1 lemon
Take corn in a bowl and add black pepper powder, salt, red chili powder, rice flour, all purpose flour. Mix well. Add sufficient water and mix to coat the corn.
Heat oil in kadai and fry the corn till crisp. About 3 - 4 minutes. Strain from oil.
Take the fried corn in a bowl. Add the onion, tomato, chat masala coriander leaves, green chilli and lemon juice. Mix thoroughly. Your delicious corn chaat is ready to serve
