Beans Masala Sabji is a very simple, healthy, easy and tasty french beans recipe. Making this dish is so easy that you it will become one of your favorite.
I thoroughly love this green beans masala. Not only it is very, very simple to make but also very healthy. The ingredient list is not so long as well. It is made with very basic spices that are used in almost all the dish.
There are whole lot of combinations that go so well with this beans masala sabji. It tastes awesome as a side dish with kind of rice.
We do not have to add any water to make this beans masala sabji. As we cook on a very low heat, it gets cooked by itself in the steam and leaves sufficient water from the tomatoes. If you feel that your green beans masala is getting burnt or too dry, try cooking on even lower heat than you did previously.
As the cooking process is done by steam, it helps to retain all it’s nutrients and thus good for health too. Do not add water as the green beans might turn soggy and the taste will just not be the same.
You can even add some chat masala towards the end to add that extra flavor if you wish. That is purely your choice and preference.
So let’s get started with the Beans Masala Sabji, Green Beans Masala Recipe
What You Need:
- 250 gms green beans, cut into small pieces
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic, chopped
- salt to taste
- 1 to mato, chopped
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
How To Make:
- Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds. When the mustard seeds begin spluttering, add the cumin seeds.
- Add in the onion, garlic and salt and fry till the onion turns brown.
- Add in the tomato, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and give it a stir.
- Next throw in the green beans, give it a stir.
- Cover and simmer till the beans are done.
